Exploring the Course and Causes: A Case Study on Navigating the Transition from Manual to Biometric-Fingerprint Attendance at a Sri Lankan State-owned Enterprises

Employee resistance to change at State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) is a visible phenomenon in both local and global contexts. Though it’s an expanding significant area, also heavily understudied, depicting literature empirical gaps the said scope. Under qualitative approach, case study strategy has been used explore employee Healthway General Hospital (HGH). In light of context, this emphasizes reasons behind changes, opportunities, recommendations for improving implementation SOE set. This paper recommends establishing comprehensive union, actively involving unions’ inputs formulation, Sri Lankan government intervene separate human resources department HGH hospital.
